The Higgs Boson

This is an illustration I made to go with an article about trying to find the Higgs Boson field that theoretically can give mass to a massless particle that passes through it. They know it's there, but they just can't find it. It was a very difficult article to illustrate, because I didn't previously know anything about the subject and I spent a lot of time brainstorming how I could illustrate mass and theoretical fields.

These are some cyborg silhouettes I came up with when I was designing my Cushio character. Most of them were too much robot and not enough human so I went with something different for the final sketch. But I thought some of them would be cool enough to use in other projects.
