I'm a big fan of the video game Gears of War. So just for practice I looked at already existing concept art for one of their characters to help work on my painting skills. Here are the different stages as I worked through my painting. It's still not quite finished, but I've already put in more time than I wanted to. The Sweater Friends

This is some work I did a couple years ago for my friend's band The Sweater Friends.

Speed Paintings

For my Digital Painting class last semester we did a 1 hour speed painting every morning. Some turned out better than others.

The Hobbit

For my Digital Painting class we had to choose a story and then do 4 illustrations from it over the course of the semester. I chose one of the greatest books of all time. J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. You can see big changes in style between these 4 paintings as I'm still learning techniques. These are some of my favorite parts of the story.

Adrian Gatty

This is my portrait assignment for Digital Painting II. I stayed pretty close to my original sketch for the most part. I painted the whole thing in black and white and then gave it a sepia look at the end.
